Willy Wonka is a major character that's similar and different in both movies. Their appearances are a major difference in both movies. The original movie(Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory) Wonka has curly blonde hair, purple jacket, a bow tie , and a wood cane. While in the remake (Charlie and the chocolate factory) Wonka has brown hair, a dark red purplish jacket,and wonka symbol instead of a bow, and a cane made with nerds. Both charecters were weird but different weirds. The original Wonka had a more violent weird, in a way he seemed mad and lost. While the new Wonka had a crazy sence of weird almost like his past had scarred him. One thing that was the same was both made smart remarks to the children in the factory, seemed like both enjoyed making fun of the kids . But the new Wonka had a issue with parents he acted strange and hated parents because of how his dad treated him. To me the way the parents acted toward both Wonka's was different, in the original they seemed freaked out and scared of him while in the new ones they seemed to lose patients with him and treat him like he was a idiot. Also in the newer film they gave Wonka a back story which in my opinion i think was much needed because it gave more of a idea of how him and the factory came to be. If i had to pick which film i liked better it would be the new one because it goes more in depth about Wonka and shows more of a darker story.
Violet is one minor character i wanted to focus one. She is very competitive in both movies. But she has some differences . For example their looks in the original movie violet has brown long hair and cut bangs she not mean to the other kids though . The violet in the new movie has blonde hair cut short very competitive more competitive then the old movie and she is inspired by her mom . The newer version of violet is rude to the other kids and thinks she has to compete in everything. I think what they did by amping up her competitiveness was a plus because in my opinion it gave her more of a realistic character of how a girl her age would be. I liked her newer character better its more realistic to me.
Indeed this film has stereotypes and one of them is Mufasa. He is a stereotype because he is the "king " and hes a lion and like most people know the lion is called the "king of the jungle." He gives the film a strong idea on what a king in real life would be. His character also gives a better feeling of the mighty king lion. Through out the story he is reinforced . Even though Mufasa died in the movie many people still treated him as the king of the jungle. A lot of his sons life revolves around him and how Mufasa is a king . All characters treat him with great respect (except scar) like a king would usually get in real life. Mufasa is defiantly a stereotype.
Simba is a big stereotype. He is the arrogant prince that suffers a great tragedy and runs away and find a way to recuperate. In the being he was arrogant and thought being king you could do what you want like most young princes do. But like most story's too he suffers a great lose and something happens to were the prince had to leave his kingdom. Then he grows older and wiser and comes back as the typical prince hero to save the day and reclaim his right to the crown. His stereo type is reinforced even though he isn't cocky and arrogant toward the ends he still plays the role of the savior prince.
Mufasa is a major archetype. He is a hero and the great king. The reason his archetype is being a hero is because he shows it through the movie. He saved his sun simba twice. Once he saved Simba from the hyenas. The the second time Mufasa saved Simba from a stampeded, he sacrificed himself to save his son and it cost him his life . He protected his kingdom from outsiders and "evil". These acts show how Mufasa is a hero.
Scar is anther major archetype. He is the villain of the story. Scar is scene through out the film scheming his plan to over throw Mufasa and become king. He plots and teams up with hyenas who become his side kicks. Scar kills the hero Mufasa and takes over the kingdom and making Simba feel that he did it . Scar thinks for himself and that's it and like most villains hes smart but behind closed doors hes a slimy evil weasel of a character. These acts are what make him a villain.
This weebly will be about the literature in films. I will
be discussing many different things. Anything from charecters to meanings of the film. I chose this class because i was interested on picking things out of films
. Also being able to explain things about the movie that i find interesting. I
hope to learn in this class about the film world and how to tie movie events
into real life.
Aunt May is one of our many static charecters . She is Peter Parkers aunt who he lives with and she loves Peter to death. She doesnt really change through out the movie other then seeming upset after her husbands death.
Gwen is anther static charecter in the film. She is inlove with Peter. Shes top her clas and she remains the same person through the whole movie . She doesnt change.
Peter Parker is a Dynamic Charecter in this film. He changes from a whimpy dorky kid into a super hero. He gets bit by a certain spider which in hance his human ablitys like strength,senses , and gives him the ability to climb things like a spider. He then uses his powers to lead himself into a new life as a hero and fighting for justice.
Dr.Connors is a Dynamic character. His life changes drymaticly when he injects a serum that he and Peter created into his own body. He becomes a giant reptile . He his misswing arm grows back and he becomes in a way insane and turns evil . His lizard abilitys grant him speed, super, stenght , predator insticts, and super healing . His insanity causes him to lose his job and dwell in the sewers as you can see his life changed alot .
In this film "Amazing Spiderman" Peter Parker also known as Spiderman is the Protagnist. He is the hero, with his super powers he gains after being bit by a spider. Peter uses those powers to fight crome and save others. He often finds himself battleing bad guys. He always trys to do right, he often risk his life for others . Then he meet his match who is his antogonist Dr.Conors. Peter help him create a serum that allows humans to heal themselves. Well that is what caused Connors to become his enemy, Peter fought to save him and keep him from turning evil and Connors fought to turn mankind into a new species and destory Peter Parker that is the conflict between them.
In the film "Amazing Spiderman" Dr. Connors is the Antagonist of the film . He and Peter sought to give humanity a way to cure themselves so they made a serum. Connors couldnt wait to use it to regrow his arm after he saw the progress it made. So he injected himself which cause him to become a giant reptile called The Lizard. With his new found abilitys he went around the city causeing mahem . He destoryed things and indangered many lives and protade himself as a villain. Evently he thought it was best for mankin evolve into what he was. So he infected the city and indangered more lives . Him and spiderman battled more then once and still Connors remained a villian. THese acts are why he is a Antagonist he caused alot of conflict for everyone.
