Both versions of this movie are similar and different. Both movies settings are a weird twisted scene. The settings of these movies give a dark creepy feel. But the newer movie is more colorful then the old movie. In fact they seemed flip flop. Because in the beginning of the old movie its colorful but in wonderland is dark and not really colorful, but in the new movie in the beginning its pale and white but when Alice goes into wonderland its colorful and dark at the same time. The settings in the original movie was more weird and seemed like nothing made sense. The new movie had a more mad (in the sense of crazy) feel and sight to it. The newer setting came of as cruel and more serious. Both shared the imagination part the settings in a way captured what would be inside a child's head when they thought of what life would be like if they were to make it. Both movies settings seemed to base off cards but the new one involved chess in their characters too. I would say both these movies are different but the same. Because they have a similar story but a way different setting look. I liked the newer movie more then the old because the new movie had more of a plot then the original.

The setting effects a lot of people in this movie. The setting is in New york during the 1899. People were poor and had to work long labor hours for little pay.  Since a lot of people were in poverty kids ether ran away or found jobs and that's were you find the newsies. They are a group of kids that pay for news paper to sell them and make money. In a meeting the owner of the press decides to raise the price for news papers. That meeting alone in his building effected all the newsies. It caused the newsies to go on strike and start riots to get the prices down.  Then they go through parts of New York and get more newsies to help which made the strike bigger so big anther paper noticed them. Well at a huge rally the police arrested a number of people even Jack. He gets humiliated in the court room when the warden releases info unknown to many about Jack. The setting in the meeting with Jack and Joe shows you how angry Jack is about Joe being selfish ( the way he acts shows) but then he begins to work for Joe. The next day at the press Jack walks out in a suit in the same place he hung out with his friends and had to face them . Well seeing Jack in a nice suit and working for the paper outraged his friends. But when Dave was getting beat up in a ally Jack went  and saved him and that setting made jack realize his friends were more important then money. But the most important setting was when they printed a paper the was to go out to all the kids in New york and that printing press Joes old printing press aloud jack to do it. They sent out a huge amount of papers all over the city and tons of kids were affected by the paper that was made in the press, they showed up and went on strike well Joe gave them what they wanted a lowered the price . As you can see different settings effect all the characters.

This story takes place it a lot of different places with a lot of different historical events. It all starts in Alabama with a boy named Forrest Gump. The story also takes place in Vietnam, Memphis, California, cross country, and other parts of the world. In all these places something happens to change someones life. Like in Alabama in Forrest child hood he finds a friend name Jenny they both grew up in Alabama and during the night Jenny would sneak over to hang out with forest or go places near their homes. In Alabama , Forest life is affected a lot his mom and Jenny died both in the same house on the same bed. In Vietnam in 1967 he finds a friend named Bubba who later dies when he rescues his squad during a explosion in the thick Vietnam forest. This allowed forest to become a ping pong player were he traveled the world playing ping pong and he ended up in the white house receiving the medal of honor from a president from the 60s. While in washington later in the day he finds Jenny at a peace rally and meets black panthers. But she leaves for california were it often shows her struggling their on drugs and bad people. Well that wasnt his first time in Washington he actually meets two other presidents from different time eras. In the 80s he opened a shrimp company then his mom dies and he takes up living in his old childhood house with jenny for awhile. One early morning Jenny left which cause forrest to run all over America for 3 years. All this time he is telling this story while on a park bench in the after noon then he goes to find Jenny at her apartment. After all his adventures to different places the story ends in his home in Alabama with him dropping his kid off at the bus stop in the morning just like his mom didnt to him. The whole setting of the story was supose to show that no matter what kind of person you are handi cap or not you can still accomplish goals Forrest's goals were just more historical.

Both films are similar. But have different things that happen to. Rear windows exposition was a man name Jeff works for a magazine and he broke his leg by taking a picture on a race track and getting hit. So Jeff was stuck inside all the time. As the rising action arises you learn and see that Jeff often stairs out his window and stairs at his neighbors. By doing this he learns about their daily life styles and how they act. Well he noticed one day that a mans wife had gone missing and he continued to see the man whose name was Mr. Thornwald do odd things. He notice him clean saws mess with his wife's purse and jewelery even taking his suit case in out of his apartment. All this time he faced minor conflicts with trying to improve his love life and get a grasp on what he really wants. Well finally we reached the climax when Jeff noticed the flowers were different so he has his girlfriend go over and dig in the bed she finds nothing then sneaks into Thornwalds house and gets caught. Then we reached the falling action when she has Thornwalds wife ring when she gets arrested and then Thornwald notices Jeff and trys to kill him . Well before he came over Jeff called his friend and while Thornwald attacked Jeff the police came and arrested him settling the conclusion then everyone lived happily ever after.
Now Disturbia has similar things kale in his exposition has a car crash which kills his dad and forever scars his mind.Kale later punches his teacher and begins the rising action. He is then put on house arrest and like Jeff he starts spying on his neighbors . Then he hears on the news about a murder who had a similar car to his neighbors car. So he begins to spy on Mr.Turner and notices weird things. Meanwhile he always trys to get a girl who happens to be his other neighbor. Kale and his best friend and the neighbor girls spy together that's when they start noticing more like the one girl Mr. Turner brought to his house was screaming and running and it looked like he murdered her. Mr.Turner stop Ashely and had a talk with her and scared her. The climax began when kale thought Turner killed his friend so he broke into his house to save him but gets arrested. then Kale's mom goes over to apologize and Turner attacks his mom and then comes after kale. The falling action is introduced when Turner and kale fought . Turner actually almost killed kale but Ashely saved him and them. The conclusion reached when Kale saves him mom kills turner then gets off house arrest and is living happily ever after.
Now as you notice both films have the same conflicts like woman problems and noticing their neighbors kill someone. In both films they suffered from some type of car crash. In both films they also use music at one point to describe the neighbors actions. Also Kale and Jeff both get attack by the murderous character in the films but Kale kills Mr.Turner while Jeff gets pushed out of a window and the police arrest Mr.Thornwald. The plots arent really different except a few minor details like Mr.Thornwald murders one person while Mr. Turner murders multiple and in my opinion they arent really different plots.  I liked both equally because in the same seance in was like watchen the same movie twice both are great films.

In this film ( Big Fish) their was a lot of foreshadowing and flash backs.  Through out the movie the main characters Ed and will have flash backs, Will has flash backs of his father telling him story's and his father has flash backs of his adventures that he made story's about.  The witch foreshadows Eds death and the way he dies and he leaves it a mystery to his son.  Will searching to find out if his dads story's are real foreshadows him improving the bond between father and son. In my opinion the flash backs of Ed reveals that he never took life for granted and that his entire life to him was a adventure.  Which causes the conflict between him and Will because will doesn't feel he knows his father but if you watch closely that alone foreshadows a lesson Ed is trying to teach Will. And through the film he discovers his dads story's are true he just adds some "spice" to the story's to make life exciting and at that point he realizes his fathers lesson is don't take life for granted.  This movie really surprised me, for example i thought when Ed found the one town Specter i thought it was foreshadowing Heaven but it was an actual place he found.  But what didn't surprise me was that Will changed and started making life exciting because clues through out the story hint he will change . If i had a pattern to choose and say this story would be a quest the quest was father to son trying to teach a lesson to never take life for granted and boring and in the end the quest was completed.

Andrew actually has Aids and ends up losing his job because of it and goes to his rival lawyer to fight his recent employers in court. Through out the film Andrew and Joe( Andrews lawyer) find themselves having conflicts. Joe's major conflict is he seems to be bothered by homosexuals and actually gets hit on by one which in turn he flip out about it. Andrew struggles through the movie with his Aids his conditions gets worse. During the rising actions of the movies witnesses reveal their opinions about what happened and how they feel at their jobs. One woman said she also had felt discriminated against cause she had aids and other workers pleaded Andrew was a great lawyer. Through this case both Joe and Andrew fight their conflicts toward the climax Joe seemed to be okay and getting better to deal with gays . Then the climax is reach when Andrew passes out and is hospitalized from his disease. Short after Joe wins Andrew's case in the falling action,Andrew then dies and everyone celebrates and remember his death.
